Sydney’s The Jim Mitchells have burst on to the scene with this, their debut single and clip Planet Absorbed. A wonderfully hyperactive take on garage rock with a wonderfully hyper coloured clip to match, the band is big on psych-pop bombast with hooks to match.

The creative brainchild of the band’s namesake Jim Mitchell, the clip itself reflects the various different facets of his personality that go into each song.

“When you’re writing and recording alone, you can get pretty stuck in your own head,” explains Mitchell. “You end up wearing all the different hats during the process so to speak, but it all ends up coming together as a juicy little whole in the end.”
